Phoho is the photo blog of Lukas Hofmann. I wouldn’t describe myself as photographer but rather as a travel- and photography-enthusiastic documentalist. I try to capture unique sceneries in their respective environment, originally (starting at age 10) with the thought that every moment is unique and becomes lost over time unless it is documented by me. My subjects are mostly (urban) landscape and architecture, but I also photograph other things worth documenting. On my blog, I try not to use extensive descriptions, but rather stick to saying where the photo was taken, everything else is best described by the photos themselves.
I got my first camera about 3 years ago. I will shoot anything and everything with a certain type of uniqueness. I use a Nikon D5100.

My name is Xhanti Jafta (22years) from a small town in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. I’m currently studying Media but found out midway throughout my Degree that I should have been studying film, fortunately for me there are a few film modules offered at my institution but I’d rather have a Degree in Film and not just media…So my aunt bought me an HD camcorder, that’s when I started photography because I wanted to brush up my directing skills, if you may. It has been one of the best decisions of my life so far. I know I do have what it takes to become a quality photographer my country has ever seen just that i’m tired of waiting for when that day will finally come.
The only problem I have with this is that no one is paying attention to what I’m doing and I’ve been putting in a lot of effort into it, now it feels like its for nothing. Time is running out and impatience is a human trait so I can’t fight it for long.
I am Jessica Allen, Bostonian living in San Francisco. I’ve been taking photos for 15 years. My M.O. is to create dreamy images of San Francisco and document life as art with a journalistic streak. I shoot mostly 35mm with my Diana Mini, Smena 8M, or Minolta X-570, but I also shoot digital with my iPhone 4S or Nikon D70 at times.

Every photo is a mirror of how we see the world we all live in, and that’s something you just can’t pass by.
I’ve recently started taking a lot serious photography as a hobby, a way to disconnect myself, from one reality to another, through the viewfinder.

Ever since I can remember myself, I was passionate about art. I have walked down various paths to achieve artistic expression, such as painting on canvas and digitally creating and editing images. That was until, two years ago, I discovered photography. It then became obvious to me that this is the means which enables me to express myself the most, which fulfills my creative needs.
My “instrument” of choice is a Nikon D5100 with an 18-55 lens, for the moment. I usually work with natural and urban landscapes, but recently I have started experimenting on male and female portraits and facial expressions.
