Shooting as ‘Stevie Pics Photography’ I am a London based photographer who had not picked up a camera until my early forties. Now, some eight years on I have carved out something of a niche for myself taking landscape images of the changing city and showing it from an untypical perspective.
My style could be described as formal, traditional even, however I am not inclined to the conventional and I look to capture images of contrast and drama. Mine is a painterly eye, if that doesn’t sound too pretentious.
I am largely self-thought and and make extensive use of Photoshop CS6 and Adobe Lightroom in processing my images which are all shot in the RAW format.
I have exhibited in London as part of a collective group, the Gay Photographers Network.
My camera of choice is the Canon 5Dii along with a variety of lenses, all Canon: 100mm, 24-70mm, 24-105mm and my latest addition to the arsenal, the telephoto 100-400mm USM IS.
